Fairy Tales

In my illustration class, we were asked to choose a Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale and illustrate two illustrations for the story. In print production class, we then took all of these illustration and stories and combined them into a single book. I chose to include thumbnails of each artist's illustrations on the cover of the book and used classic margins and proportions of the inside pages to allude to Hans Christian Anderson's original work. My spot illustration I created for the story "The Toad" features elements from the story to give the reader a sample of what is within the story. I used a digital water color technique to color the image to also give it a classic fairy tale feel.
